Shadow and light - Tromsø (N), Europan 7:

 

Renata Sentkeiwicz and David Franco work on shadow and light in their Europan 7 winning project on the site of Tromsø (N). Discovering techniques to understand comprehend and synthesize the mighty and the Scale of nature: the design work consists in founding procedures capable of extracting the ability and adaptability of nature phenomenon and to reproduce it - Programmed ground-. Therefore this project tries not only to adapt to a hard and strange climate, but also to extract all the potential of beauty that stays under a material reality. When the territory Observed is a gigantic natural landscape and the Onlooker is a small architectural device, a very special and powerful relationship is established.
And what if we could develop really flexible urban plans, which react with their own intelligence to all the possible contingencies related to investors, urban authorities or other sensitive agents - Strategy vs design-?
